Second-hand ergometer test after the accident: +35% increase in strength!

By the end of April Thomas was strong enough to move back to Monaco where he immediately began to swim in the sea (which was still at a rather bracing temperature of 15° Celsius or 59 Fahrenheit). This, though, proved to be perfect physiotherapy. He’d already undergone a first hand ergometer (crank arm) test in April and structured his training based on that. He could not yet train with a bicycle as his post-op foot was forbidden to bear weight until two months after the operation. The second test showed a remarkable increase in strength of 35%! Mind over matter. Positivity over negativity.
